Domaine Anne-Sophie Dubois
The terroir -
The vineyards of the estate are all located on the AOC Fleurie, precisely at a place called Les Labourons.
The essential characteristics of my vineyard are:
An altitude of about 400 m and a WSW exhibition:
This situation gives slow ripening, allowing a good preservation of acidity and favoring aromatic complexity.
Steeply sloping hillsides:
This exceeds in some plots the 30%.
They are favorable to the vine, ensuring good drainage,
a lot of sunshine and a less fertile soil than in the plain.
Soil composition:
It is here a pure expression of pink granite,
the soil is composed mainly of sand and pebbles
from the source rock. Like the soil, the wine retains a mineral, fresh and delicate side. Poor and filtering soil,
The Gamay is not very vigorous here and gives naturally
yields of about 35 hl/ha.
High-density planting:
between 8000 and 10000 feet / hectare
